Am I really moving to Disney in 5 days?
Holy Crap!!! Am I really moving to Disney World in 5 days?
WHY YES I AM!!!I am beyond ready to start my DCP experience.
I have the best girls who I am so blessed to already call my roommates and I feel like I will have the best bond with them!! I have two sets of roommates. With the rules on drinking and the age, I will be 20 once I move in and will be 20 for the first 3 weeks of the program, but I turn 21 and will be switching into a non wellness house. All of my roommates are understanding of this and I will remain close with them no matter if Im living with them or not. I can already tell these girls will be some of my best friends!!!
I feel very blessed to have received the role that I did. I will be a….. Photopass Photographer, which was one of my top 3 when I interviewed. I love the fact that I will be all over the place and not in one place for 5 whole months, so I feel incredibly grateful for that. Plus the amount of customer interaction is going to be insane. I can not wait to see all of the smile on all of the guests faces and know that I can help make their days that much better and even more magical than before.
One part that is going to be hard for me is being 8 hours away from home and my family instead of the usual 4 hours. I am so used to the fact that I can pack up my car and go home whenever I want when Im at school, but here I cant do that. So being so far away from my fam jam is going to be difficult, but I know my family will be down at Disney as much as they can during my time as a cast member, which will be just wonderful. I just wish they could bring my dog with them.
I am so thrilled to learn more about the WDW company and grow from this experience as well as get a foot in the door for working with Disney through this program. Since as long as I could remember, I’ve wanted to work for the Disney Company and I couldn’t be happier that my dreams are coming true because of this experience.
I can not wait to meet everyone and gain some wonderful friends and some even better memories. DCP Spring 13. Its going to be one unlike any other.
